The Space

These four-bedroom Penthouses Pool Villas are, simply put, the best luxury pool villas in Phuket. Each offers a massive 460 sqm spread over two floors with multiple indoor and outdoor living areas and a spacious terrace. This is inclusive of dining area with outdoor barbecue galley and cooking station. It also has the largest private infinity swimming pool available in in our resort hotel.

Measuring a remarkable 14-metres in length, it comes with a classy swim up pool bar to impress thirsty visitors. The four-bedroom Pool Villa Penthouses include a full range of modern amenities all available using an in-villa iPad that controls innovative state-of-the-art home VDA automation software. It was customised specifically to meet the needs of our most discriminating guests, combining luxury and technology on a level previously unavailable in Phuket for single touch control of Sky Villa lighting, temperature, music, television, blinds and service requests.

The penthouse master bedroom is exquisitely appointed with king-sized bed, and reveals a stunning view from its outdoor Jacuzzi, making it the preferred spot to enjoy the daily spectacular Phuket sunset.

The Neighborhood

Phuket has a long history of playing host to foreigners. Phuket Town was founded in the 1st century B.C. by colonists from India. Ptolemy, a Greek geographer in the third century A.D., referred to it as ‘Jang Si Lang' – which later became ‘Junk Ceylon' and this is the name you will see on ancient maps of Thailand, or Siam.
The pleasant bay of Kata, just a few minutes south of Karon Beach, entices and charms many visitors with its white sands and clear waters. Very popular with families, Kata is an all round favourite due to its spectacular palm-lined beach, great restaurants, lively but not raucous nightlife and varied accommodation options - all close to the beach. From May to October surfers flock to catch Kata's waves and from November to April the beach is alive with sunseekers.

Kata is split into two focal areas: Kata Centre, which is at the northern end close to Karon and Kata South, home to several resorts. Visitors will find an abundance of shops to browse in, from souvenir and ready-to-wear outlets, to 7-Elevens and local mini-marts, to name-brand fashion stores.

Explorers, Traders and Villains
Because of its rich natural reserves the island has always been important, economically speaking. Ever since early times it has attracted explorers, traders and villains from as diverse places as Arabia, Sri Lanka, China and Portugal – all hungering for its ivory, pearls, timber, animal hides and gems.

In the 16th Century, tin came into Phuket's economical equation and the Dutch, as well as the French, came to the island because of it (Phuket even had a French-born governor at one time). The British were not far behind and they later sent Captain Francis Light to scout out the possibilities of controlling the strategically important Malacca Straits, using Phuket as a base.

Two centuries ago, extensive tin mining drew thousands of Chinese labourers to the island and their influence and has remained, making Phuket the province with the highest percentage of ethnic Chinese in the country.

Today, Phuket Town is living testimony to this cultural impact with its decidedly Chinese-influenced architecture, cuisine and culture.
