Cancellation Policies

Villashortstay allows hosts to choose among four standardized cancellation policies (Moderate, Standard, Strict and Super Strict) for their listing.


90% refund or 10% cancellation penalty for up until 30 days prior to arrival, except fees


80% refund or 20% cancellation penalty for up until 60 days prior to arrival, except fees.


50% refund or 50% cancellation penalty for up until 60 days prior to arrival, except fees.


Non-refundable or 100% cancellation penalty

Each listing and reservation on our site will clearly state the cancellation policy. Guests may cancel and review any penalties by viewing their travel plans and then clicking 'Cancel' on the appropriate reservation.

A reservation is officially canceled when the guest clicks the cancellation button on the cancellation confirmation page, which they can find in Dashboard > Your Trips > Change or Cancel.

By signing up, you agree to respect the cancellation policy that is valid for the property you book. In case of a cancellation after booking on your behalf, you agree to pay any cancellation fees forthcoming from the applicable cancellation policy. 

In case Villashortstay or a host cancels a booking, no cancellation fees will be charged to the guest. In such case, Villashortstay will do its' best to find alternative accommodation of similar quality, or refund the full amount.

COVID-19 related cancellations:

Cancellations due to COVID related issues - like lockdown, no flights, guest not allowed to board a flight, guest falling ill with COVID and unable to travel or any other COVID related travel restrictions - will be subject to the full cancellation penalty of the applicable cancellation policy. Guests are advised to take out fully comprehensive travel insurance with CFAR (Cancel For Any Reason).
